A Curriculum Development Team puts together the lesson plans, teaching guides, assessments, worksheets and activities required in the class. A lot of preparation is required to put together materials for an activity-based learning methodology, and this support is critical for teachers. The teachers improvise on the given plans and personalise their implementation to suit each class' different learning levels.
Manthan believes in creating the right platform for its teachers to be effective and efficient. To ensure that, internal and external teaching training sessions are organised annually. The internal sessions are held by Subject and Teacher Leaders. In contrast, the external sessions are held by Cambridge and CBSE Boards and agencies such as The Teacher Foundation, Priyamvada Taneja Consulting, and TalentEase.
Manthan sends all senior teachers for the Extended Cambridge Training sessions, which are organised across the globe. These enable teachers to engage with our syllabus and curriculum frameworks in greater depth and build confidence in their delivery.
CBSE provides various training programmes for teachers and principals to enhance their understanding of curriculum, delivery mechanisms, and other professional qualities.
Teachers learn research skills and techniques which can be incorporated into their lesson plans. Our Curriculum Development Unit also undertakes this training to create content involving these skills and inculcate a research mindset in students.
QCT is a holistic, highly effective approach which explicitly models and teaches the social and emotional learning facets related to self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making and relationship skills. In this workshop, teachers are trained to organise and implement QCT sessions for their classes.
Teachers examine the factors influencing student behaviour and explore strategies to deal with inappropriate behaviour.
This workshop teaches primary school educators various techniques to make a topic captivating; it helps in striking the right magical note with their students. It also explores various methods to lift students' moods and interests during the ‘middle’ part of their lessons and how they can recapture their attention towards the end.
This workshop helps teachers identify disruptive behaviour and create a fair culture to enhance students' academic engagement. They are also encouraged to devise innovative strategies for classroom management that can be utilised daily.
Senior doctors from renowned hospitals train teachers and staff to deal with various medical situations with the help of First Aid and CPR for adults and children. Women's wellness training is also conducted for all staff to raise knowledge on women's health and hygiene.
Usha Fire Safety Equipments conducts the session to train everyone on the correct emergency procedures for evacuation in case of a fire. Preventive measures that remove or minimise fire hazards are also discussed and taught.
The sessions are held for all teachers to create awareness and train them to accommodate special needs students in the class. Manthan has highly qualified special needs teachers who work with such students individually and in groups to promote full academic functioning. Manthan is an inclusive school that supports and nurtures the needs of special children with passion and care.
These sessions introduce and explain school policies to new teachers and inform the existing teachers about any recent changes.
Led by our Subject Leaders, teachers learn subject-specific pedagogical skills to take a more comprehensive look at a concept or topic. They are aligned with the curricula and are encouraged to allow students to think like historians, mathematicians or scientists.
The school’s technical head trains all employees on using the ERP system for effective communication and efficient management of roles and duties.
