Movie Club Activity 3 1

The Manthan Movie Club was co-founded by Anshul Arora, Marcela Fernandez, and Arushi Gupta to create a space for individuals to openly discuss and express their thoughts about movies. The club fosters constructive conversations and friendly debates within the world of cinema.

To enhance members' understanding of filmmaking, the club incorporates games and activities like the Plot Game, where movies are guessed based on their plot lines. Other popular activities include Dumb Charades, Pictionary, movie quizzes, and monthly rounds of "Movie Fights," where members engage in debates on movie topics.

Each month, the club selects a movie to analyse different aspects of filmmaking, which is then presented as a class. Additionally, the club holds a short filmmaking competition every month, challenging members to make a 5-7-minute film on a given topic. The club also periodically screens movies for its members and other students in its state-of-the-art auditorium.

I have been in Manthan for 11 years and I would definitely say that I find it a very suitable environment for learning. The small class size allows each student to have a sense of familiarity and personalisation that can help everyone thrive. The teachers are also always extremely supportive and go to great lengths to help students learn.

Manthan is a wonderful place to study, grow and interact. It provides an encouraging atmosphere for students, and the teachers here, are really supportive. My social skills have developed, and I have seen myself improve academically.
